The Bar of the Lower St-Lawrence-Gaspe-Magdalen-Islands is one of the 15 section bars representing the regions of Quebec. Although they delegate representatives to the General Council of the Quebec Bar where there have the right to vote, the section bars are independent of the Quebec Bar.

All the lawyers in Quebec are members of both the Quebec Bar and the section bar of the region where they practise.
